This comes from 3 summits of thinking and praying together and a leadership retreat to hone in and from our summit results prayerfully see where God wants TBC to focus our outreach and mission. This roll out will also help us as we soon begin the pastoral search for our next pastor. Pastor Rowley will help us look at an incident in the life of David, that seemed like the worst thing had happened, but God was doing a great work which no one could have foreseen. This Sunday we plan to finish our series called, "Be Thinkful." This is a great Sunday to invite family and friends as we give thanks for all God has done in our lives. The message plans to have an element where many of our church family will be giving thanks via a cardboard testimony. One after another will share their thankfulness to God without saying a word! It is quite unique and you will be blessed and amazed how God has worked in lives! So be sure to be at TBC this Sunday at 10:30 am, and bring someone with you!
Also, Pastor Rowley, our Pastor Emeritus, will continue his series Sunday night at 6 pm on the role of emotions in our walk with God. He brought a great message last Sunday night. Do not miss his last installment in this timely series.

Your cardboard testimony will say it for you. This is simple, fun, and will brag on Jesus. Carol and I each will be participating!

For Sunday evening at 6pm, Pastor Rowley will be starting a 3 message series on the subject of emotions, feelings, faith and truth. God has created us with emotion and feeling. Wrong or seemingly uncontrollable emotions can destroy relationships, create anxiety, lust, anger, insane jealousy, and even drag one into depression. Emotions under the control of the Spirit can bring joy and strong motivation for good, bringing God's blessing. This series will not only help ourselves but enable us to help others.

Pastor Bim, our Pastor Emeritus, has been teaching us on Sunday nights about the sin of narcissism. It's been soooo helpful! There are many authority structures in life, ordained by God such as: Government -- people, husband -- wife, parent -- children, pastor -- people, employer -- employee, commander -- soldier, teacher -- student and probably others. What if your authority is flawed, selfish, unwise, unconcerned about your well-being? Can God use this situation for good? What should our response to such an authority be? What if they become dangerous toward us? What should our response be toward them? The study of Saul is an inspired account of such a leader. We live in the real world where we face such trials. This study can help us know God's will and be pleasing to Him in such difficult situations. Join us Sunday evening at 6 pm.

We plan to be back in Matthew 5 this morning as we look at the Sermon on the Mount. We will see that we are salt and light and that we are on earth to affect the atmosphere of this ol' world for Jesus! The Lord has such great plans for His Kingdom and we are a part of it! Come see how!

Awesome weekend coming up! We are in week 3 of the message series "Jesus Said Whaaat?" Join us at 10:30 am Sunday as we continue looking at the Sermon on the Mount. It's counter-cultural for sure and gives us the mind of the Lord on a variety of life issues. On Sunday evening Pastor Rowley will look at the characteristics of a narcissist by studying the life of King Saul. If you work for, are married to, or have a necessary relationship with a person who has these characteristics, how does God want us to relate and respond? A narcissist tries to control and intimidate those around them by making them feel like a failure or inferior. We can learn how God would have a believer relate and respond by watching godly people like Jonathan and David as they interact with Saul.

I hope you will join us Sunday at 10:30am as we are back in to our series on conflict resolution. This Sunday we will seek out peace (Psalm 34:12-14) "What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it." This week we want to learn to avoid mere peace keeping and pursue peace making. What's the difference? We will also be observing communion.
Sunday evening we will have Matt Rowley preaching on Matthew 24:1-3. I hope you can come!
