I hope you will join us Sunday at 10:30am as we are back in to our series on conflict resolution. This Sunday we will seek out peace (Psalm 34:12-14) "What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it." This week we want to learn to avoid mere peace keeping and pursue peace making. What's the difference? We will also be observing communion.
Sunday evening we will have Matt Rowley preaching on Matthew 24:1-3. I hope you can come!

This Sunday evening Pastor Rowley will be preaching after a time of some VBS testimonies. Pastor Rowley said this about his message... With the time left after testimonies, we will broach this subject."

This Sunday we finish our series in Acts. We plan to begin a new series on the 27th on what the Bible teaches about conflict and how to resolve it when it happens. Our church studied this some time back, and this summer is a great time to revisit this important part of our discipleship as Followers of Jesus.

Well this Sunday is sooooo special here at TBC. It is the 45th anniversary of Truth Baptist Church. What a blessing and joy to celebrate! It is also our time to honor Pastor Bim and Deanna's 45 faithful years here as Bim founded & pastored TBC! On Sunday, Pastor Rowley officially steps back from serving as senior pastor and steps into retirement. He is being conferred by our church to become Pastor Emeritus of TBC. That means that our church loves and appreciates Pastor Bim and with deep respect wants him to enjoy a different pace of ministry. But as he cares to, he will still serve the church teaching, doing his regular ABF, his life group, and more.
They will be honored on Sunday, and there is a lunch in their honor in the gym after church.

Please join us tomorrow morning for a beautiful service of worship to God through songs, a beautiful video to honor the mothers in our lives, a missionary update from Mary Davis, and an encouraging message from Scripture about God’s everlasting love for his children.
In recognition of Mother’s Day, there will be no evening service tomorrow. Instead, we encourage you to spend quality time with your families and friends, honoring the mothers and mother-figures in your lives. For all of you who are mothers, we recognize that you fill a magnanimous role every day – no matter what season of life your children are in. To you we say THANK YOU! May God continue to grant you strength, health, peace, and joy in everything you do, for his honor and glory.

Tomorrow, I will be picking back up where I left off on the Colossians series. We will be looking at a practical passage (Col 3:12-14) that tells us what a model Christian should look like. If we put into practice the great truths taught in Colossians 1 & 2, our lives should begin to look like the model Christian we see in these verses. We are to "put off" old traits and "put on" these Christlike traits.
Sunday evening we will be looking at the next event on God's prophetic calendar. I have been studying 4 key passages in 1st and 2nd Thessalonians dealing with the Rapture of the Church and the coming Day of the Lord. We will start with the first exciting passage in 1Th 4:13-18.

I sure hope you had a great Easter weekend last week. This was our first Easter with you, and it was beautiful and meaningful for sure. Thank you for going on your local mission trip to invite people to church last weekend! Keep it up because for us as Believers every Sunday is Resurrection Sunday!
Which reminds me… this Sunday is Name Tag Sunday! Please put on a name tag when you come for worship. This is a great way to get to know people by name. We have all seen people that we did not know so hopefully we can put a name to a face this Sunday!
You will hear more about this... but save 2 dates this summer. The first date is June 22 as we celebrate TBC’s 45th anniversary and Pastor Rowley and Deanna’s 45 years here as pastor. We want to give love and thanks as he becomes our Pastor Emeritus. More later.
The second summer date to save is Sunday, July 20th, when we come together as church family for Summit 1. This is the first of 3 summits when our church comes together to discern and discuss who we are and where we believe God wants us to go.

We have entered the holiest of all weekends for us as Jesus followers. As we approach this Easter Sunday, we want to invite you to read and check out all that is happening! We already had a wonderful and meditative Good Friday service Friday evening. Thank you to all who participated in that service and to all who attended. Eli was able to give a great Gospel message as well.

Easter will be celebrated well so be sure and read all the different ways you can celebrate Easter next weekend. It will be a delightful weekend of opportunities to worship a risen Savior! Don't forget that this Sunday and Easter we will have a station set up for free pictures to be taken. Bring your family and enjoy our photo booth.
I want to invite our church family to join together to come back for services on Sunday night at 6 pm. Nick Coelho will be preaching a message entitled The Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's the only message with eternal ramifications for all people everywhere, so bring a friend if you can. Sunday evenings are a great time of worship, study and fellowship for an hour. I would love to see you there!

Have you begun your local mission trip to invite someone from work, or school, or friends to our Easter weekend services? We have several to choose from:
- Good Friday service at 7 pm on Friday the 18th. This is a night of worship and reflection on Christ’s death.
- Sunrise service outdoors here at church at 7:30 am to begin the celebration that Jesus is alive!!! We plan to have breakfast afterwards!
- 10:30 am Easter celebration as we worship our risen Savior!
These are great events to invite people to. After all, we do not want to keep Easter to ourselves! This world is looking for hope and peace, so let’s show them JESUS!!
This Sunday I plan to preach on the Gospel of Easter and how it originated with our Heavenly Father and His great love and mercy for us! God is soooo good!!

Today marks a new and exciting chapter in the ministry of TBC as Pastor Pat Hand will be taking over as the Interim Pastor of the Church. He has many years of experience in the ministry and has a genuine heart for God, for God's people and for the local church. I trust you will show him a kind and warm welcome. His wife Carol could not be with us today, but she will arrive on Wednesday from their home in Canada.
This evening we will have our regular monthly Men's and Women's Ministries. For the men we will be looking at a vital subject: The Discipline of the Mind. The battle of the Christian life is largely fought in and with the mind. The World, the Flesh and the Devil are all trying to capture our minds. Please come this evening to discover how to be victorious in this area. The women will be looking at their identity in Christ as a comforted comforter.
Thank you for praying fervently that our church will have God's blessing as we move forward.
