Hi TBC Family & Friends,
Well winter is sending a reminder that it's coming, but it's not here yet! We went to our grandson's football game one night this week, and it was coat, hat & gloves night!
Ok, on a little different note... Have you ever heard of cardboard testimonies? It is something I want to do in my sermon Nov. 23rd....and I would love YOU, YESSSSS YOU, to be a part of the sermon as an illustration. Carol and I plan to do this too.
At the right time I will ask people to line up and as piano plays a group of people will walk up to the platform and without speaking hold up a piece of cardboard with black marker that will say something like, "I was abused by a family member"... then turn it over and it says, "I have forgiven my abuser and pray for them." OR "I was an alcoholic for 20 years," then turn it over and it says, "Thank God I have been sober 13 years." See, its a cardboard testimony. I would love to do this, and I think all of us could have a cardboard testimony! How about you? I will help you do this!
I'd love to have 15 or more people bless God and encourage our church at the same time at this Thanksgiving season. Would you like to participate? Reply to this email, and I will get with you and help plan this. Pray about it, and enlarge your comfort zone :-). It will be fun and a blessing to so many! GOD is at work in lives!!
Also, it's not too late to invite someone and come to the Harvest Banquet tonight at 5:30! If you need to, you can purchase tickets at the door! We just want you to come.
For Sunday evening at 6pm, Pastor Rowley will be starting a 3 message series on the subject of emotions, feelings, faith and truth. God has created us with emotion and feeling. Wrong or seemingly uncontrollable emotions can destroy relationships, create anxiety, lust, anger, insane jealousy, and even drag one into depression. Emotions under the control of the Spirit can bring joy and strong motivation for good, bringing God's blessing. This series will not only help ourselves but enable us to help others. Please come.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. HARVEST BANQUET TONIGHT: We still have plenty of room for you to come last minute and invite friends last minute!!! If you can't come, please pray for the Gospel message to penetrate hearts for God's glory! Daniel Harper will be playing music during the meal, and Pastor Pat will be giving a Gospel presentation at the end. Tickets are $10 per person. No childcare provided. We are asking TBC Families to bring a nice dessert to share. Teens and servers helping with the banquet should be in the gym at 3pm.
2. CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM REHEARSALS: We are beginning to practice for the Children's Christmas program that will be held on Sunday evening, December 14th at 6pm. For now, rehearsals are happening during the Junior Church time on Sunday mornings. We are asking that all pre-teens join the rehearsal by coming down with the kids immediately following the music time in the auditorium (when kids are dismissed). Pre-teens will practice for about 20 minutes and then come back up to the main service. If you have any questions, please see Amy Pepe!
3. LADIES TASTE OF FELLOWSHIP: All ladies are invited to the next Taste of Fellowship Monday night, November 10th at 6pm at Oscar's in South Windsor. If you can come, please text Melanie Harper or reply to this email so we can hold a seat for you. This is a time of low key community where you can bring a friend. Everyone pays for their own meal.
4. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: It's that time of year again! We are planning an Operation Christmas Child packing night on Wednesday evening, November 19th at 7pm. Everyone is invited, including kids! We are also going to be collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child boxes, so you can check out this page for some ideas... Please talk with Dave or Amy Pepe if you have any questions. Sunday, 9:15am - Ladies' Bible Study and Prayer
Join us as we take a walk through the Old Testament Minor Prophets. From Hosea to Malachi, twelve in all, we’ll gain insight as we learn the who, what, where, why, and when of each letter, along with how each one applies to us. We meet in a classroom in the gymnasium, all ladies are welcome!
Sunday, 9:15am - Parenting Together
Join Eli and Madeline for a series called Parenting Together. Parenting Together focuses on helping couples strengthen their marriages while also leading their families. Starts at 9:30am. Their class meets in the room across from the teen room.
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the Junior Church classroom below the auditorium. Anyone is invited to join at any time.
Sunday, 10:30am - SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE
