Announcements and Connections 10/11/25
Hi TBC Family & Friends,
The fall is here! Carol and I love the colors don't you? Anyone have a favorite route or place to see the colors? Just respond to the email.
I have already chatted with you earlier this week about registering for Summit 3 (click here), and I invited you if you missed the summit to come to our Pulse group at church this Sunday at 9:15 in the prayer room across from the nursery.
Today I want to chat about the Harvest Banquet coming up Saturday, Nov 8th. What a unique opportunity for friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family to hear the Gospel in a safe, fun and delicious evening. This Gospel outreach is what Summit 2 showed us as we reach out to our mission focus group who are from the community. Who do you plan to invite? The tickets are only $10 each and are available now. This price is half as much as you would pay in a restaurant and the menu will be fabulous! Begin now in lining up your guests...and if you can afford it treat your guests to the evening by paying for their meal.
Pastor Pat
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. DEACON NOMINATIONS: Every year two of our current 6 deacons rotate off the deacon board, and the church members vote on 2 new deacons plus an alternate deacon. We have a sheet available at the Welcome Desk with the current men of the church who have been members for at least 1 year and the current relevant TBC Constitution section on the qualifications of deacons (reply to this email to request a digital copy). We encourage every member to prayerfully nominate 3 qualified men from this list after first talking with these men and making sure they are willing to serve as a deacon for this 3 year term. Members will submit their ballot for nominations by Sunday evening, October 19th.
2. SUMMIT 2 SUMMARY AND PULSE MEETINGS: If you were not able to make it to Summit 2, this Sunday, October 12th, at 9:15 we will have some Focus Team leaders in the room across from the nursery ready to give you a summary of what we did and to collect your feedback. If you can't meet at that time but would like to give feedback, please reply to this email. Also, we will have printed summaries of the feedback received at Summit 2 on Sunday morning at the Welcome Desk.
3. LADIES TASTE OF FELLOWSHIP: All ladies are invited to the next Taste of Fellowship this Tuesday night, October 14th at 6pm at Savvi's Pizza in East Hartford. If you can come, please text Melanie Harper or reply to this email so we can hold a seat for you. This is a time of low key community where you can bring a friend. Everyone pays for their own meal.
4. SUMMIT 3: Our next summit is Summit 3 on Sunday evening, October 19th, from 4-7pm. Childcare will be provided. We will be brainstorming discipleship pathways for growth and how to put into practice what we've discovered in Summits 1 & 2. Please sign up here if you can attend! We will have a pizza fellowship meal afterwards, so we ask everyone to bring at least $1 per person to contribute to the pizza and a large Salad or Dessert to share.
5. HARVEST BANQUET SIGN UP: It's time to start inviting your unchurched friends and family for our favorite meal of the year... the Harvest Banquet. Daniel Harper will be playing music during the meal, and Pastor Pat will be giving a Gospel presentation at the end. Adults only (unless you are bringing invited guests who cannot find childcare). Tickets are $10 per person. No childcare provided.
6. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: It's that time of year again! We are planning an Operation Christmas Child packing night on Wednesday evening, November 19th at 7pm. Everyone is invited, including kids! We are also going to be collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child boxes, so you can check out this page for some ideas... Please talk with Dave or Amy Pepe if you have any questions. If you would like to sponsor shipping for boxes, please use this link.
7. RAISED IN GLORY WORSHIP DANCE FOR GIRLS: All girls ages 5-18 are invited to join us for our 2025 Fall season of Raised in Glory worship dance.
