Hi TBC Family & Friends,
Its a beautiful weekend! The colors are pretty. The fall is Carol's favorite season. How about you? Just a couple of reminders:
Join us tomorrow as we continue in the Sermon on the Mount series called, Jesus Said Whaaat? We plan to be in chapter 7 for 2 weeks. Tomorrow we look at judging. Are we supposed to be the judge, jury and executioner of people? Just what is judging? Is it ever right to judge and if so how do you do it? Join us at 10:30 am tomorrow at Truth Baptist Church...and bring someone with you.
There is still time to register for Summit 3 tomorrow at 4 pm in the gym. You can register by clicking here. Free childcare if you need it. We will have pizza together afterwards, so please bring at least $1 per person and a salad and or a dessert to share. Thank you TBC for your willing heart to embrace God working in our midst! Continue to lean into it during this transition time. You are loved and appreciated.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. DEACON NOMINATIONS: Every year two of our current 6 deacons rotate off the deacon board, and the church members vote on 2 new deacons plus an alternate deacon. We have a sheet available at the Welcome Desk with the current men of the church who have been members for at least 1 year and the current relevant TBC Constitution section on the qualifications of deacons (reply to this email to request a digital copy). We encourage every member to prayerfully nominate 3 qualified men from this list after first talking with these men and making sure they are willing to serve as a deacon for this 3 year term. Members will submit their ballot for nominations by this Sunday evening, October 19th.
2. SUMMIT 3: Our next summit is Summit 3 this Sunday evening, October 19th, from 4-7pm. Childcare will be provided. We will be brainstorming discipleship pathways for growth and how to put into practice what we've discovered in Summits 1 & 2. Please sign up here if you can attend! We will have a pizza fellowship meal afterwards, so we ask everyone to bring at least $1 per person to contribute to the pizza and a large Salad or Dessert to share.
3. MEN'S BOWLING NIGHT: Join us Friday, November 7th at 6:30pm - 8:30pm for an enjoyable evening of bowling and fellowship at Revolutions Bowling and Lounge, 60 Bidwell Rd, South Windsor, CT. Friday, November 7th at 6:30pm - 8:30pm. The cost is $22 per person. Please register and pay for yourself, any friend you may bring, and any teen boys. The cost covers shoes and 2 hours of bowling.
4. HARVEST BANQUET SIGN UP: It's time to start inviting your unchurched friends and family for our favorite meal of the year... the Harvest Banquet. Daniel Harper will be playing music during the meal, and Pastor Pat will be giving a Gospel presentation at the end. Adults only (unless you are bringing invited guests who cannot find childcare). Tickets are $10 per person. No childcare provided.
5. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: It's that time of year again! We are planning an Operation Christmas Child packing night on Wednesday evening, November 19th at 7pm. Everyone is invited, including kids! We are also going to be collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child boxes, so you can check out this page for some ideas... Please talk with Dave or Amy Pepe if you have any questions. Sunday, 9:15am - Ladies' Bible Study and Prayer
Join us as we take a walk through the Old Testament Minor Prophets. From Hosea to Malachi, twelve in all, we’ll gain insight as we learn the who, what, where, why, and when of each letter, along with how each one applies to us. We meet in a classroom in the gymnasium, all ladies are welcome!
Sunday, 9:15am - Parenting - It Starts at Home
Beginning 7/27, Eli and Madeline are heading this 6-8 week series titled “It Starts at Home” where we will explore biblical and tangible ways that parents—couples, single parents, blended families, and grandparents—can build a legacy of faith for their children. Their class meets in the room across from the teen room.
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the Junior Church classroom below the auditorium. Anyone is invited to join at any time.
Sunday, 10:30am - SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE
The livestream can be accessed on Facebook and YouTube and our website 10-15 minutes before the start of the service.

Junior Church is for children ages 2-9 and begins after the morning worship time in the auditorium.

This life group is studying the book of Exodus and is open to anyone via Zoom.
Wednesday, 10:00am - Chuck Jutras Life Group
Everyone is invited to join this life group that meets across from the church office at 10am on Wednesday mornings at the church. They are currently studying the love of God.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Women's Bible Study
All ladies are invited to join us as we study the life of Daniel, with our tour guide, author & speaker, Amir Tsarfati, a Jewish believer, who has written the book, “Discovering Daniel”. Each chapter coincides with the 12 chapters in Daniel. Our journey will take us to ancient Babylon, to learn about the fascinating, historical account of Daniel, his example to us in our walk with Christ, and the prophetic implications for our world today. Book is available on Amazon. Study guide sold separately but is not necessary (they look very similar!)
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Teen Group
Any teens are invited to join in the teen room at church. Pastor Rodriguez leads the teen group.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Rudy Nelson Life Group
Everyone is invited to meet to discuss the Bible passage and sermon presented in the Sunday morning worship time. We meet downstairs in the Junior Church classroom under the auditorium from 7-8:30pm.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Ron Radziewicz Life Group
We share snacks, fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and are doing a series called Person of Interest, Why Jesus Still Matters in a World that Rejects the Bible.
