Hi TBC Family & Friends,

I hope Thanksgiving was a wonderful time for you and your family and that it was relaxing and fun! As I write this note, Carol and I are at the airport in Greenville, South Carolina waiting for our flight to come back on Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving. We were visiting dear friends of ours, and we decided not to cook so we decided to go to a Thanksgiving meal put on by a restaurant in Asheville. We were told that the line would be out the door all day so we decided to be there when they open. So we had a full Thanksgiving meal at 10 AM on Thanksgiving day!

We laughed and ate and then played basketball for a couple hours to work it off. It was a fun day and included lots of Uno games. How was your day Thursday?

I hope you will make plans to be with us this Sunday at 10:30 AM as we begin our new Christmas season sermon series called Christmas greetings from Isaiah. I want to encourage you to invite family and friends out during the holiday season leading up to Christmas. We have several opportunities to invite people to during the holiday season. You can read the announcements below, but I hope you will make plans to encourage our young people and come to the play that they’ve been working so hard to bring to us. You will have two opportunities to see it… It’s free… But you do need to sign up online so that people will be accommodated for seats. December 14 at 6 PM our children will have a Christmas program for us. That is always a beautiful time to see our kids helping us to celebrate the Christmas season. Then on December 21 at 6 PM Truth Baptist Church will have a beautiful Christmas service as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together in a special service. So whether it’s Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM for these other special occasions, look for opportunities to invite people to come. Hearts are tender at Christmas time and in the craziness of this world people are seeking peace. Hope joy and love and we know right where they can find it… In Jesus Christ!

Don’t forget this Sunday night at 6 PM. We have our men’s and women’s groups meeting separately and then coming together for a fellowship meal afterwards. If this is the only Sunday night service you can come to each month, e really want you to come to this one. Then bring an entrée or dessert to share as we will have dinner afterwards in the gym.

Hope to see you Sunday and have a great weekend. You are loved.

Pastor Pat
