Announcements & Connections 9/20/25
Hi TBC Family & Friends,
Awesome weekend coming up! We are in week 3 of the message series "Jesus Said Whaaat?" Join us at 10:30 am Sunday as we continue looking at the Sermon on the Mount. It's counter-cultural for sure and gives us the mind of the Lord on a variety of life issues. On Sunday evening Pastor Rowley will look at the characteristics of a narcissist by studying the life of King Saul. If you work for, are married to, or have a necessary relationship with a person who has these characteristics, how does God want us to relate and respond? A narcissist tries to control and intimidate those around them by making them feel like a failure or inferior. We can learn how God would have a believer relate and respond by watching godly people like Jonathan and David as they interact with Saul.
After the morning service Carol and I are hosting a cookout for all college-age adults, single young adults and married young adults at the pavilion behind the church. Burgers and dogs with all the fixings! A time to fellowship and get to know folks better. Can you eat lunch with us? Just respond to this email.
Ladies, I hope you will schedule in your calendar our Ladies Retreat this Saturday, September 27th. It is being planned with you in mind. Fellowship, good food, laughing, great teaching by my wife Carol Hand, prayer, and understanding just who God is in your life. Plan to attend and bring a friend. The cost is $20 pp. If you do not have the money please let me know...we do not want money to keep anyone from going.
Weekend to Remember on Nov 14-16 is one of those events that I wish we had 100 fewer people in church that Sunday because so many couples of all ages were away at this awesome retreat for your marriage. Sign up and goooooo! If you do not have the money to go, let me know. You can respond to this email. Another opportunity for a couples weekend if you cannot go to Weekend to Remember in November is the couples weekend at the Wilds of New England Oct 3-4. You can get more info on their web site.
Lord willing we will see you Sunday...bring a friend!
Pastor Pat
