Announcements & Connections 9/27/25

Hi TBC Family & Friends,

What a delightful day today! It began with soccer! It is so fun to watch the kids play soccer as the whole back fields are games going on! Thank you volunteers and parents for making this outreach possible! 

The ladies had a retreat today, and it was just a great day of remembering God as a strong tower! Lots of fellowship, fun and being reminded of the goodness of our God! 

We plan to be back in Matthew 5 as we look at the Sermon on the Mount.  We will see that we are salt and light and that we are on earth to affect the atmosphere of this ol' world for Jesus!  The Lord has such great plans for His Kingdom and we are a part of it! Come see how! 

Tomorrow evening we will be starting our new year of men's & women's ministry.  I encourage to you make special plans to come at 6pm for this special time of fellowship together, and then stick around for the church fellowship in the gym afterward.  Everyone brings a platter of sandwiches, a salad, or a dessert to share.  We have children's ministry and nursery, and teens 12 and up will be with the adults.  You won't be disappointed that you made time for this encouraging ministry.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.  HARVEST BANQUET HELP:  If you would like to be a part of our annual outreach dinner, the Harvest Banquet, please meet up front in the auditorium with Dave Pepe after the morning service this Sunday, September 28th.  We can use help from teens on up!  We need servers, baristas, line runners, cooks, set up, take down, decorations, program, and more!  We have a place for you to serve!  The Harvest Banquet is on Saturday, November 8th at 5:30pm.

2.  MEN'S & WOMEN'S MINISTRY & FELLOWSHIP:  The men and the women (including teens age 12 and up) will meet separately for a time of encouragement and community this Sunday evening, September 28th, at 6pm. We will have a Fellowship meal afterwards around 7:15pm.  We are asking each family to bring a large platter of sandwiches or a large salad or dessert to share (enough to feed your family and a few more).  

3.  SENIOR DAY AT THE WILDS OF NEW ENGLAND:  See God’s creation in all its beauty this fall! Senior adults will have an enjoyable time of relaxation, singing, Bible study, laughing, memory sharing, and refreshment during this one day outing at the Wilds of New England, 2 1/2 hours away in New Hampshire on Thursday, October 2nd.  It starts at 9am and ends at 5pm.  The cost is $50/person.  To find more information or to register, click here.

4.  LOOKING FOR THE LAMB:  Amy Pepe is asking that all kids participating in the Looking for the Lamb initiative find verses that foreshadow the Lamb of God in the Old Testament this week!  Little mini lambs are hidden around in the common areas at church.  Kids who find a mini lamb can bring the lamb and a written out scripture passage of some hint of the Lamb of God in the Old Testament to Amy Pepe on Sunday morning, and she will give them a special gift!  Please see Amy for more details.

5.  RAISED IN GLORY WORSHIP DANCE FOR GIRLS:  All girls ages 5-18 are invited to join us for our 2025 Fall season of Raised in Glory worship dance.  Raised in Glory is a discipleship group for girls where we use dance to bring girls together in worship, and we use God’s Word to get to know Jesus.  We will be meeting on Fridays at TBC from 4:30-5:30pm beginning tomorrow, September 26th through November 15th. Our performance will be Saturday, November 15th at 11am at TBC.  The cost is $15/girl, and they should sign up here at this link.  ALSO, we are inviting any women 19 and older to join us from 4:30-5:30pm to have their own beginner class.  They should sign up as well using the link and will still need to pay the $15.  They will not be performing at the end of the semester.  :)

6.  VBS 2026:  The dates for VBS 2026 will be one week later than our normal VBS week this year, so instead they will be... July 13-17th.  Please mark your calendars!

Join us as we take a walk through the Old Testament Minor Prophets. From Hosea to Malachi, twelve in all, we’ll gain insight as we learn the who, what, where, why, and when of each letter, along with how each one applies to us. We meet in a classroom in the gymnasium, all ladies are welcome!

Sunday, 9:15am - Parenting - It Starts at Home
Beginning 7/27, Eli and Madeline are heading this 6-8 week series titled “It Starts at Home” where we will explore biblical and tangible ways that parents—couples, single parents, blended families, and grandparents—can build a legacy of faith for their children.  Their class meets in the room across from the teen room.

Sunday, 9:15am - Go Ye... Missions
Go Ye... Missions Class: Come join Rob and Amy Hanover for an 8-week study covering how the early church started, how God used ordinary men and women to continue its growth, and how God is working today through TBC's missionaries and our personal outreach methods.  Come be encouraged, challenged, and equipped to make a difference for Christ—wherever He calls you!  We will be meeting July 27 - September 14 on Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the classroom across from the church office.

Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter.  We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time.  We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness.  We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am.  Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.

Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it.  This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the Junior Church classroom below the auditorium.  Anyone is invited to join at any time.

This life group is studying the book of Exodus and is open to anyone via Zoom.

Wednesday, 10:00am - Chuck Jutras Life Group 

Everyone is invited to join this life group that meets across from the church office at 10am on Wednesday mornings at the church.  They are currently studying the love of God.

Wednesday, 7:00pm - Women's Bible Study 

All ladies are invited to join us as we study the life of Daniel, with our tour guide, author & speaker, Amir Tsarfati, a Jewish believer, who has written the book, “Discovering Daniel”. Each chapter coincides with the 12 chapters in Daniel. Our journey will take us to ancient Babylon, to learn about the fascinating, historical account of Daniel, his example to us in our walk with Christ, and the prophetic implications for our world today. Book is available on Amazon. Study guide sold separately but is not necessary (they look very similar!)

Any teens are invited to join in the teen room at church.  Pastor Rodriguez leads the teen group.

Wednesday, 7:00pm - Rudy Nelson Life Group

Everyone is invited to meet to discuss the Bible passage and sermon presented in the Sunday morning worship time.  We meet downstairs in the Junior Church classroom under the auditorium from 7-8:30pm.

Wednesday, 7:00pm - Ron Radziewicz Life Group

We share snacks, fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and are doing a series called Person of Interest, Why Jesus Still Matters in a World that Rejects the Bible.
