Announcements & Connections 8/23/25

Hi TBC Family & Friends,

How has your week gone? School begins next week, so I hope you have had a great family week this week. Wow, nice to have windows open the last couple of days! Fall is kind of in the air!

I have been captured by a doxology in Jude 24-25. Its the kind of scripture to learn and pray it back to God. Look it up..."Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God,
our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen." Isn't that beautiful and something that just captures you? I memorized it to use in my prayer time. I challenge you to do the same.

Well, we are in the midst of the busy back to school season and TBC soccer (have you told your neighbors and co-workers about it yet?  Please do) It is also T-minus 4 Sundays away from Summit 2.  You can register by clicking here, or by signing up out in the lobby each Sunday. One last word....if you missed Summit 1 we have a summary of the day available this Sunday.  It's not necessary to have gone to Summit 1 in order to go to Summit 2. Your input is necessary and sought after as we plan to look at our communities around us and how to reach neighbors with the Gospel. It will be enlightening and fun!

I mentioned TBC soccer above but I hope your kids are signing up, and YOU are the best way to advertise this outreach by inviting neighbors, family, co-workers, and others to sign up their kids for TBC soccer. You can sign up here.

We only have this Sunday and next as we learn how to resolve conflict when it comes. I have had great conversations with people this week about being peace-makers. I am glad to speak to you as you figure out how to reconcile conflict. God is working...let's pray for our church during this series!

Sunday evening is our men's & women's ministry night.  We are going to be having pizza for our fellowship afterwards, so bring a dollar per person, and bring a side dish or salad big enough to share with people if you can.  These nights are a great encouragement to us all!

Lord willing I will see you Sunday! Bring someone with you this Sunday at 10:30 am.

Pastor Pat

3.  TBC SUMMIT 2:   In Summit 2, on Sunday evening September 14th, we will look at community and regional demographics in order for the church to identify our mission field around us. Summit participants will also determine the kind of values the church needs to embrace in order to reach our local mission field. This will lead into a time of listening to the Lord in the process of discovering God’s vision for Truth Baptist Church.  Please sign up here if you can attend!  Also, a summary of Summit 1 will be available in the lobby this Sunday for anyone who is interested.
