Announcements & Connection Opportunities 7/26/25
Hi TBC Family & Friends,
I hope you have had a great week! Its hard to believe July is almost over! Summer is zooming by. I hope you will get some vacation in before school starts back.
Well last Sunday evening we had our 1st Summit. The gym was full, and it was fun to listen in to the great conversations around the tables. It was neat to watch folks as they thought through things interlaced with laughter and sometimes sadness. 3 hours flew by, and of course, we all wish we had more time to chat on different topics you were asked to think through. Yet, a storyboard called the Journey Wall began to take on the highs and lows of the last 45 years. We identified things to celebrate and things to lament, but it is obvious that God's fingerprints have been on Truth Baptist Church since 1980!
I know many of you could not attend because of family plans, vacation, or work. Soooo, set aside either Sunday, Aug 3, or Sunday, Aug 10th at 9:15 am for our Pulse Group meeting. We have a some people from our Focus Team who will go over a summary with you of what was said. You will have an opportunity to speak into the summary, as well. We want our entire church family to be a part of the refocusing process at Truth Baptist Church.
ALSO....don't forget about the TBC Soccer outreach meeting right after the worship service this Sunday. Remember we are at the intersection of NEED & OPPORTUNITY with regards to this outreach that begins in August. Join us as we ask God to show us what to do about soccer outreach. Some of our regular volunteers are not available this fall like they usually are each fall. So we are looking for some temporary volunteers who could come together for just this season so we can have over 50 community kids as well as our church kids under the sound of the Gospel every week for a couple of months. Meet with us!
You guys are the best! I look forward to beginning our new series as we revisit how to resolve conflict God's way! Bring a friend and join us Sunday at 10:30 am.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. TBC SOCCER MINISTRY MEETING: We will be having a meeting immediately following the morning service this coming Sunday, July 27 to discuss the viability of an upcoming soccer season. We would love to have all parents and anyone who has helped or who is interested in helping with the soccer ministry attend this meeting 5 minutes after the morning service in the front of the auditorium.
2. MEN'S & WOMEN'S MINISTRY & DESSERT FELLOWSHIP: The men and the women (including teens age 12 and up) will meet separately for a time of encouragement and community this Sunday evening, July 27th, at 6pm. We will have a Dessert Fellowship afterwards around 7:15pm. Please bring a large dessert to share—whether it’s a healthy favorite or a fun indulgence!
3. NEW PARENTING ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIP CLASS: You're invited to Join Eli and Madeline Rodriguez for a new parenting class titled “It Starts at Home” where we will explore biblical and tangible ways that parents—couples, single parents, blended families, and grandparents—can build a legacy of faith for their children. This class will begin this Sunday morning, July 27th at 9:15am upstairs in the gymnasium.
4. NEW MISSIONS ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIP CLASS: Go Ye... Missions Class: Come join us for an 8-week study covering how the early church started, how God used ordinary men and women to continue its growth, and how God is working today through TBC's missionaries and our personal outreach methods. Come be encouraged, challenged, and equipped to make a difference for Christ—wherever He calls you! We will be meeting July 27 - September 14 on Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the classroom across from the church office.
5. PULSE MEETINGS: If you were not able to attend the 1st Summit, we will have 2 opportunities where Focus Team leaders can meet with you during the ABF hour (9:15 Sunday morning) to go over what was discovered and to get your feedback. The two times will be 8/3 and 8/10 during the ABF hour.
6. VBS & CAMP TESTIMONY NIGHT: Sunday evening, August 3rd, we are going to take some time to hear from any VBS volunteers about things they say God do in and through their ministry at VBS. These testimonies will be brief and will give God all the glory. Be thinking of a testimony you can share! Pastor Rowley will preach after the testimony time is done.
7. TBC SUMMIT 2: In Summit 2, on Sunday evening September 14th, we will look at community and regional demographics in order for the church to identify our mission field around us. Summit participants will also determine the kind of values the church needs to embrace in order to reach our local mission field. This will lead into a time of listening to the Lord in the process of discovering God’s vision for Truth Baptist Church. Please sign up here if you can attend!
8. TBC WOMEN'S MINISTRY RETREAT: All ladies and teen girls are invited to attend our fall Women’s Ministry Retreat day on Saturday, September 27th, from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Please RSVP using this link. We will have Carol Hand as our speaker for 2 sessions with a catered lunch in between. We will also have some fun and will hear a panel of women share some thoughts on living in the truth of the names of God. The event is $20/per person, but please let Melanie Harper know if you need a scholarship.

Join us as we dive into the book of James, Christianity 101, if you will! Full of practical, straight to the point instruction, we will learn how to better be “doers of the Word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22), by uncompromisingly putting our faith into action! They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.
Sunday, 9:15am - Practical Steps for Biblical Financial Stewardship
Keith Tower and Jesse Christophel are leading this class on practical steps for biblical financial stewardship. Our culture has a bad relationship with money. Debt is common, many live paycheck to paycheck, and some of us would rather ignore our bank statements than face our financial reality. But there is hope. This 6-8 session series covers basic financial stewardship-everything from creating a spending plan to paying off your debt to planning your investments. God's wisdom will not only help you find solutions for your financial struggles but will transform your heart as you begin to see your finances His way. Everyone is invited to attend... we meet upstairs in the gymnasium.

Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the Junior Church classroom below the auditorium. Anyone is invited to join at any time.

Wednesday, 7:00pm - Women's Bible Study
All ladies are invited to join us as we study the life of Daniel, with our tour guide, author & speaker, Amir Tsarfati, a Jewish believer, who has written the book, “Discovering Daniel”. Each chapter coincides with the 12 chapters in Daniel. Our journey will take us to ancient Babylon, to learn about the fascinating, historical account of Daniel, his example to us in our walk with Christ, and the prophetic implications for our world today. Book is available on Amazon. Study guide sold separately but is not necessary (they look very similar!)
