Announcements & Connection Opportunities 7/19/25

Hi TBC Family & Friends,

The weekend is here! So what are you doing this weekend? Grilling....camping...doing chores, or maybe relaxing?  Well rest up for Summit 1 this Sunday afternoon at 4 pm! We have about 140 people signed up, and I hope you are one of them. There is still time to register here if you haven't already!  It will be a great time as we assess and discern what God is doing at TBC!

Now, if you plan to come we have child care if needed. The kids will have pizza and watermelon. If your child is allergic, then please pack them some supper and a snack. If you are in the summit we will have a potluck dinner at 7 pm right after the summit. Please bring an entree, or salad, or dessert to share.

This Sunday we finish our series in Acts. We plan to begin a new series on the 27th on what the Bible teaches about conflict and how to resolve it when it happens. Our church studied this some time back, and this summer is a great time to revisit this important part of our discipleship as Followers of Jesus.

Join us and bring a friend!

Pastor Pat

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.  MISSIONARY MICAH TUTTLE:  Our missionary Micah Tuttle and his family (missionaries to the country of Georgia) will be with us Sunday morning and will be presenting an update on his ministry in a combined ABF time at 9:15am in the auditorium.

2.  TBC SUMMIT 1 & FELLOWSHIP:  TBC's Summit 1 is happening on Sunday evening, July 20th from 4-7pm.  We are hoping to get 175 church attenders signed up to help us look at our church history, give input on our values and lessons learned, and share feedback leading to discovering God's plan for TBC's preferred future.  Everyone 12 and older will gather around round tables in the gym.  Each table will have a table leader who will facilitate activities and discussion around the table.  Pastor Pat will lead our time, giving directions to each table throughout the night.  Childcare will be provided for ages 0-11.  Please sign up here if you haven't already.  We are also asking everyone to pray that this night will be so fruitful and useful to our whole church.  We are asking everyone to bring a large main dish, salad, or dessert (enough food to feed your family plus more) for the fellowship meal happening during the summit. Dinner will be at the end of the summit for the adults, so please bring food that is fine to be cold or is in something to keep it warm.  The kids will be having pizza, so if your children can't have pizza, please bring them a meal as well.

3.  MEN'S & WOMEN'S MINISTRY & DESSERT FELLOWSHIP:  The men and the women (including teens age 12 and up) will meet separately for a time of encouragement and community next Sunday evening, July 27th, at 6pm. We will have a Dessert Fellowship afterwards around 7:15pm.  We are asking each family to bring a large dessert to share.  You can bring a healthy dessert or an unhealthy dessert.  :)

4.  NEW PARENTING ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIP CLASS:  You're invited to Join Eli and Madeline Rodriguez for a new parenting class titled “It Starts at Home” where we will explore biblical and tangible ways that parents—couples, single parents, blended families, and grandparents—can build a legacy of faith for their children.  This class will begin on Sunday morning, July 27th at 9:15am upstairs in the gymnasium.

5.  NEW MISSIONS ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIP CLASS:  Go Ye... Missions Class: Come join us for an 8-week study covering how the early church started, how God used ordinary men and women to continue its growth, and how God is working today through TBC's missionaries and our personal outreach methods.  Come be encouraged, challenged, and equipped to make a difference for Christ—wherever He calls you!  We will be meeting July 27 - September 14 on Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the classroom across from the church office.

6.  PULSE MEETINGS:  If you are not able to attend the 1st Summit, we will have 2 opportunities where Focus Team leaders can meet with you during the ABF hour (9:15 Sunday morning) to go over what was discovered and to get your feedback.  The two times will be 8/3 and 8/10 during the ABF hour.

Sunday, 9:15am - Practical Steps for Biblical Financial Stewardship
Keith Tower and Jesse Christophel are leading this class on practical steps for biblical financial stewardship.  Our culture has a bad relationship with money.  Debt is common, many live paycheck to paycheck, and some of us would rather ignore our bank statements than face our financial reality. But there is hope. This 6-8 session series covers basic financial stewardship-everything from creating a spending plan to paying off your debt to planning your investments. God's wisdom will not only help you find solutions for your financial struggles but will transform your heart as you begin to see your finances His way. Everyone is invited to attend... we meet upstairs in the gymnasium.

Sunday, 9:15am - Navigating through Parenting
Beginning 5/25, Eli and Madeline are heading this 6-8 week series aimed at equipping and empowering parents to help kids navigate different aspects of life in light of the current culture.  Their class will meet in the room across from the teen room.

Sunday, 9:15am The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter.  We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time.  We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness.  We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am.  Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.

Sunday, 9:15am Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
