Hi TBC Family & Friends,
I hope you had a great week this past week. I invite you to look for blessings every day. In my prayer time recently, I said thank you to the Lord for a difficult family member. This person has had a mean spirit toward family members. I thanked God for this individual while praying for them to change. I bet we all have one of them in the family, or at school, or at work. Try praying for them this week and see what God does in you!
A few reminders for all of us.... This Sunday night we will be having a family meeting. I plan to share our re-focusing process in the coming months. It depends heavily on our church family discerning together as we look to the future. Please join us Sunday night at 6 pm. You will be able to ask questions too.
We also plan to share some plans for our 45th anniversary on June 22nd. After church that Sunday, we will move to the gym as we eat lunch together and honor and say thank you to Pastor Bim and Deanna for their sacrificial and fruitful 45 years of service at Truth Baptist Church as our senior pastor. We will say thank you and honor his retirement by bestowing on him "Pastor Emeritus" of TBC. Pastor Emeritus is a beloved title honoring his years of serving as shepherd and the spiritual impact he and Deanna have made on our church family.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. FATHER'S DAY VIDEO: If you would like to contribute up to 2 pictures of a special father or father figure in your life to be shared in videos at church on Father's Day, please text Melanie Harper your photos at 860-906-6783 or use the following links to upload your photos by 6/1: 2025 Father's Day Upload Link.
2. TBC FAMILY MEETING: All regular attenders are invited to attend our regular TBC Family Meeting this Sunday evening, June 1st at 6pm. Childcare will be provided for ages 0-10. We will be giving an update on Pastor Rowley's transition to retirement and Pastor Emeritus status. Pastor Pat will also present the process of en-visioning the future at TBC through gathering church wide input in 3 upcoming Summits (July 20th, September 14th, October 19th) where we will discuss our past, present and future as we see what God has done, what He's doing now, and what He wants to do in the future through TBC. We will be en-visioning the impact we can have in our community, and we would love for everyone who regularly attends TBC to be a part of this process! You will also have a chance to ask any questions about this process during the Family Meeting.
3. POTENTIAL NEW MEMBER: TBC members will be voting on adding Erin Baumguart to our membership on Sunday, June 8th.
4. PIZZA WITH THE PASTORS: If you're new to TBC in the last year, we would like to invite you to join us for Pizza with the Pastors following the morning service on June 8th, down in the Fellowship Hall below the auditorium. We do need you to register for the event here so we know how much food to plan! This time is an informal time to get to know the pastors and staff and hear about ministry opportunities, next steps, and ask questions you may still have. Children are welcome to attend with you.
5. SUMMER SUPPER SIX: Join our Summer Supper Six for a fun time of dinner connection from June through August! Participants will be placed in groups of 6-8 to share monthly dinners, with each member contributing a dish each time you meet. Dinners can be hosted at a member's home (hosting responsibilities can rotate) or at the church’s Fellowship Hall or Gym—please coordinate with Melanie for reserving church space. Sign up by texting SUPPER to 860-289-8976 or by clicking this link by June 7th, and enjoy great food and fellowship this summer! Singles and couples 18 years old and older can sign up. No childcare will be provided, but some groups will be child friendly, if needed. If you have any questions, please see Melanie or reply to this email.
6. LADIES TASTE OF FELLOWSHIP: All ladies are invited to the next Taste of Fellowship on Monday night, June 9th at 6pm at Artisinal Burger in Manchester. If you can come, please text Melanie Harper or reply to this email so we can hold a seat for you. This is a time of low key community where you can bring a friend. Everyone pays for their own meal.
7. TBC 45th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: Everyone is invited to attend and to spread the word to those you know from the past who may want to attend our 45th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 22nd. We will also be celebrating the many years of Pastor Rowley & Deanna's faithful leadership and service and his new season as Pastor Emeritus at TBC. We are asking EVERYONE (even regular attenders) to RSVP at this link so we can know how to plan for the day. We will have our regular morning worship service at 10:30am and a catered celebration lunch for the Rowleys following the morning service.
8. BAPTISM: We will be holding a baptism service immediately following the morning service on Sunday, June 29th. If you would like to be baptized, or if you have any questions about baptism, please speak with Pastor Eli.
9. VBS DETAILS: All TBC VBS Volunteers are asked to stay after the morning service in the auditorium for a brief informational meeting on Sunday, June 29th. Also, teachers will be staying to decorate classrooms after the morning service on Sunday, July 6th. The evening service for July 6th will be a prayer meeting for VBS and a time for everyone to help rearrange and decorate the auditorium for VBS assembly. We can use all ages to help! VBS week is July 7-11th. It's not too early to start inviting your friends and neighbors!

Sunday, 9:15am - Ladies' Bible Study and Prayer
Join us as we dive into the book of James, Christianity 101, if you will! Full of practical, straight to the point instruction, we will learn how to better be “doers of the Word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22), by uncompromisingly putting our faith into action! They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.
Sunday, 9:15am - Practical Steps for Biblical Financial Stewardship
Keith Tower and Jesse Christophel are leading this class on practical steps for biblical financial stewardship. Our culture has a bad relationship with money. Debt is common, many live paycheck to paycheck, and some of us would rather ignore our bank statements than face our financial reality. But there is hope. This 6-8 session series covers basic financial stewardship-everything from creating a spending plan to paying off your debt to planning your investments. God's wisdom will not only help you find solutions for your financial struggles but will transform your heart as you begin to see your finances His way. Everyone is invited to attend... we meet upstairs in the gymnasium.
Sunday, 9:15am – Navigating through Parenting
Beginning 5/25, Eli and Madeline are heading this 6-8 week series aimed at equipping and empowering parents to help kids navigate different aspects of life in light of the current culture. Their class will meet in the room across from the teen room.
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the Junior Church classroom below the auditorium. Anyone is invited to join at any time.

Junior Church is for children ages 2-9 and begins after the morning worship time in the auditorium.

Tuesday, 7:00pm - Joseph & Rebecca Pondugula Life Group (Zoom Only)
This life group is studying the book of Exodus and is open to anyone via Zoom.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Women's Bible Study
All ladies are invited to join us as we study the life of Daniel, with our tour guide, author & speaker, Amir Tsarfati, a Jewish believer, who has written the book, “Discovering Daniel”. Each chapter coincides with the 12 chapters in Daniel. Our journey will take us to ancient Babylon, to learn about the fascinating, historical account of Daniel, his example to us in our walk with Christ, and the prophetic implications for our world today. Book is available on Amazon. Study guide sold separately but is not necessary (they look very similar!)

Any teens are invited to join in the teen room at church. Pastor Rodriguez leads the teen group.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Rudy Nelson Life Group
We are discussing various Bible study topics, but right now we are looking at the book of Ezra. Anyone is welcome to join in the Junior Church classroom at TBC.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Ron Radziewicz Life Group
We share snacks, fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and are doing a series called Person of Interest, Why Jesus Still Matters in a World that Rejects the Bible.
