Announcements & Connection Opportunities 5/24/25
Hi TBC Family & Friends,
Carol and I got back late Monday night from our 50th anniversary trip. It was a great trip, and we saw 10 different cities in Europe in a 13 night cruise. The highlight for both of us was to visit the ancient Mambertine prison in Rome where Paul and Peter were imprisoned. It seemed like sacred ground to see the hole Paul was probably let down into the lower prison. We booked the trip some time ago before we knew we would be at Truth Baptist Church as your interim pastor. Thank you for your kindness and flexibility to allow us to be able to do our trip. A big thanks to Pastor Bim, Pastor Eli, and Pastor Keith for preaching while we were gone.
This Sunday we begin our summer series, Church 101. We plan to visit Acts and learn together from the early church and her leaders found in Acts particularly the early chapters. Join us at 10:30 am Sunday as we study and learn together how to BE the church in action!
SAVE THE DATES!!!! On Sunday afternoon, July 20th at 4 pm-7:45 pm we will be having the first of three Focusing the Church Summits (The second will be on September 14th—with a third summit on October 19th) by which we hope to discover with greater clarity what God is saying to our church. This will be a time of discussion around tables together, prayer and interactive exercises to visit and re-discover our church’s past and discover where God is moving us to in the future. The information gleaned will also be used in the development of the pastor search process. All regular attendees of Truth Baptist are invited, including teenagers! Everybody’s input is valued and important. Childcare will be provided for each summit. Listen for sign-up info soon.
Lord willing, I'll see you Sunday!!
Pastor Pat

Sunday, 9:15am - Practical Steps for Biblical Financial Stewardship
Keith Tower and Jesse Christophel are leading this class on practical steps for biblical financial stewardship. Our culture has a bad relationship with money. Debt is common, many live paycheck to paycheck, and some of us would rather ignore our bank statements than face our financial reality. But there is hope. This 6-8 session series covers basic financial stewardship-everything from creating a spending plan to paying off your debt to planning your investments. God's wisdom will not only help you find solutions for your financial struggles but will transform your heart as you begin to see your finances His way. Everyone is invited to attend... we meet upstairs in the gymnasium.
Sunday, 9:15am – Navigating through Parenting
Beginning 5/25, Eli and Madeline are heading this 6-8 week series aimed at equipping and empowering parents to help kids navigate different aspects of life in light of the current culture. Their class will meet in the room across from the teen room.
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)

Each chapter coincides with the 12 chapters in Daniel. Our journey will take us to ancient Babylon, to learn about the fascinating, historical account of Daniel, his example to us in our walk with Christ, and the prophetic implications for our world today. Book is available on Amazon. Study guide sold separately but is not necessary (they look very similar!)
