Hi TBC Family & Friends,
It has been a good week at the Hands'. Our grandkids 15 and 17 came to spend the night and see us....without mom and dad. We had a blast! I spent time with them in between work stuff, but it was fun. Carol and I often say if we knew grandkids were so great we would have had them first!! ;-)
Well this Sunday is sooooo special here at TBC. It is the 45th anniversary of Truth Baptist Church. What a blessing and joy to celebrate! It is also our time to honor Pastor Bim and Deanna's 45 faithful years here as Bim founded & pastored TBC! On Sunday, Pastor Rowley officially steps back from serving as senior pastor and steps into retirement. He is being conferred by our church to become Pastor Emeritus of TBC. That means that our church loves and appreciates Pastor Bim and with deep respect wants him to enjoy a different pace of ministry. But as he cares to, he will still serve the church teaching, doing his regular ABF, his life group, and more. He and Deanna are free to serve here, go see their grandkids, travel and enjoy this new season together with us!
They will be honored on Sunday, and there is a lunch in their honor in the gym after church. Also, please bring them a card of appreciation to tell them how much they mean to you and your family. It will mean so much to both of them! This is our opportunity to love on and appreciate such a faithful couple and properly say thank you!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. TBC 45th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: Everyone is invited to attend and to spread the word to those you know from the past who may want to attend our 45th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 22nd. We will also be celebrating the many years of Pastor Rowley & Deanna's faithful leadership and service and his new season as Pastor Emeritus at TBC. We will have our regular morning worship service at 10:30am and a catered celebration lunch for the Rowleys following the morning service. No Sunday evening service this week due to the afternoon plans.
2. MEN'S & WOMEN'S MINISTRY & FELLOWSHIP: The men and the women (including teens age 12 and up) will meet separately for a time of encouragement and community next Sunday evening, June 29th, at 6pm. We will have a Fellowship meal afterwards around 7:15pm. We are asking each family to bring a large main dish, side, dish, or dessert (enough to feed your family and a few more) that fits this description: "You made it with WHAT???" Please see Deb Gilbert if you would like some recipes or ideas.
3. BRIDAL SHOWER FOR JENNA HARPER: All women and girls are invited to Jenna's bridal shower this Saturday, June 28th at 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall. Jenna is registered on Amazon. Please sign up here or on the sign up sheet in the lobby.
4. BAPTISM: We will be holding a baptism service immediately following the morning service on Sunday, June 29th. If you would like to be baptized, or if you have any questions about baptism, please speak with Pastor Eli.
5. VBS DETAILS: All TBC VBS Volunteers are asked to stay after the morning service in the auditorium for a brief informational meeting on Sunday, June 29th. Also, teachers will be staying to decorate classrooms after the morning service on Sunday, July 6th. The evening service for July 6th will be a prayer meeting for VBS and a time for everyone to help rearrange and decorate the auditorium for VBS assembly. We can use all ages to help! VBS week is July 7-11th. It's not too early to start inviting your friends and neighbors!

Sunday, 9:15am - Ladies' Bible Study and Prayer
Join us as we dive into the book of James, Christianity 101, if you will! Full of practical, straight to the point instruction, we will learn how to better be “doers of the Word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22), by uncompromisingly putting our faith into action! They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.
Sunday, 9:15am - Practical Steps for Biblical Financial Stewardship
Keith Tower and Jesse Christophel are leading this class on practical steps for biblical financial stewardship. Our culture has a bad relationship with money. Debt is common, many live paycheck to paycheck, and some of us would rather ignore our bank statements than face our financial reality. But there is hope. This 6-8 session series covers basic financial stewardship-everything from creating a spending plan to paying off your debt to planning your investments. God's wisdom will not only help you find solutions for your financial struggles but will transform your heart as you begin to see your finances His way. Everyone is invited to attend... we meet upstairs in the gymnasium.
Sunday, 9:15am – Navigating through Parenting
Beginning 5/25, Eli and Madeline are heading this 6-8 week series aimed at equipping and empowering parents to help kids navigate different aspects of life in light of the current culture. Their class will meet in the room across from the teen room.
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the Junior Church classroom below the auditorium. Anyone is invited to join at any time.

This life group is studying the book of Exodus and is open to anyone via Zoom.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Women's Bible Study
All ladies are invited to join us as we study the life of Daniel, with our tour guide, author & speaker, Amir Tsarfati, a Jewish believer, who has written the book, “Discovering Daniel”. Each chapter coincides with the 12 chapters in Daniel. Our journey will take us to ancient Babylon, to learn about the fascinating, historical account of Daniel, his example to us in our walk with Christ, and the prophetic implications for our world today. Book is available on Amazon. Study guide sold separately but is not necessary (they look very similar!)

Any teens are invited to join in the teen room at church. Pastor Rodriguez leads the teen group.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Rudy Nelson Life Group
We are discussing various Bible study topics, but right now we are looking at the book of Ezra. Anyone is welcome to join in the Junior Church classroom at TBC.
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Ron Radziewicz Life Group
We share snacks, fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and are doing a series called Person of Interest, Why Jesus Still Matters in a World that Rejects the Bible.
