Announcements & Connection Links 8/9/25
Hi TBC Family & Friends,
Well Carol and I are nursing some bee stings at the moment! We found some bees under a pot Carol has plants in that I was moving for her. You should have seen us dancing the Boogaloo as we fought off some teed-off bees! So what do you put on bee stings? Carol is rubbing crushed up oregano leaves on our stings. Just reply to the email. Fun to see what you send in. I will say for a certainty that ice cream sure helps afterward ;-)
Ok, down to business....We are stepping out by faith that our church is coming together to offer our kids and our communities around us TBC Soccer! Two things need to happen still...
1. We need people to pray for the season and for kids and families to follow Jesus because of the Gospel impact in their lives as the Spirit draws people to Jesus! Also, pray that we get the volunteer coaches we need.
2. We need volunteers to coach or assist a coach working with the teams of kids. Like I said, we are in a unique spot where several who coach just cannot do it this season. Sooooo, how about you? Would you volunteer for this 22nd soccer season and help for this short schedule. Soccer is a great sport to offer our community and church kids to play and its a great way to build community relationships and share Jesus! Just respond to this email and I will get you to the right person. Sometimes church family will say, "If you ever need help let me know." Well we need your help! It will be a great season! Thanks for all you do TBC family!
We are taking a one week break from our conflict resolution series but will resume on the 17th. Have you used the little plan I showed you? I noticed... I feel... I'd prefer... It works well. Let me know how it worked for you. Carol and I are rooting for you and praying for you!!
Tomorrow morning Keith will be challenging us with the closing thoughts from Jesus sermon on the mount. The passages and thoughts will bring together the teachings from the earlier portions of His sermon. Please come with a heart ready to hear what God would have for us. Sunday evening, Billy Gillen will be giving his testimony, and afterwards Pastor Rowley will be preaching on how to make the gospel clear in a confused world. I hope you can come and bring a friend!
Pastor Pat

They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.
Sunday, 9:15am - Practical Steps for Biblical Financial Stewardship
Keith Tower and Jesse Christophel are leading this class on practical steps for biblical financial stewardship. Our culture has a bad relationship with money. Debt is common, many live paycheck to paycheck, and some of us would rather ignore our bank statements than face our financial reality. But there is hope. This 6-8 session series covers basic financial stewardship-everything from creating a spending plan to paying off your debt to planning your investments. God's wisdom will not only help you find solutions for your financial struggles but will transform your heart as you begin to see your finances His way. Everyone is invited to attend... we meet upstairs in the gymnasium.
Sunday, 9:15am - Parenting - It Starts at Home
Beginning 7/27, Eli and Madeline are heading this 6-8 week series titled “It Starts at Home” where we will explore biblical and tangible ways that parents—couples, single parents, blended families, and grandparents—can build a legacy of faith for their children. Their class meets in the room across from the teen room.
Sunday, 9:15am - Go Ye... Missions
Go Ye... Missions Class: Come join Rob and Amy Hanover for an 8-week study covering how the early church started, how God used ordinary men and women to continue its growth, and how God is working today through TBC's missionaries and our personal outreach methods. Come be encouraged, challenged, and equipped to make a difference for Christ—wherever He calls you! We will be meeting July 27 - September 14 on Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the classroom across from the church office.
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)

Our journey will take us to ancient Babylon, to learn about the fascinating, historical account of Daniel, his example to us in our walk with Christ, and the prophetic implications for our world today.
