Leadership Qualities of a Disciple Maker (Part 2)
Godly leadership goes much beyond the basic attributes of conventional leadership. As we observe Christ, our perfect example, we immediately recognize this fundamental distinction. To fully understand Christ’s perfection in everything He did would require a lifetime. However, by looking at a few examples of how He applied His leadership in the development of His disciples we can get insights in His method of discipleship.
Truth Soccer League 2016 Recap
Every sports season seems to go by so quickly once it is underway. It is hard to believe that the conclusion of this soccer season finds us with 13 completed soccer seasons in the books! Each of the fellow laborers that have joined with us over these years acknowledges the certain providence and goodness that God has shown. This season was no exception. I’d like to share how God worked in three specific areas during this season.
Leadership Qualities of a Disciple Maker (Part 1)
What does the Lord want me to do with my life? Does God have a plan for me? How can I serve Him? Soon after conversion, such questions about God’s will in the life of a new believer begin to tug at the heart. We all possess God-given natural talents and at salvation when we place our faith in Christ the Holy Spirit equips us with unique spiritual gifts.
From Bondage to Rest - Keys to Fruitfulness
Are you weary of living a defeated fruitless life? Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abides in me and I in Him brings forth much fruit. Apart from Me you can do nothing." Is a Christian life achievable in which it is no longer you but Jesus Christ is living through you, doing the work, bearing fruit, accomplishing His purposes, allowing you to "prosper in whatever you do"?

The 12 Disciples - Andrew (Part 2)
His great finger and long out-stretched arm now trembled. Was the Baptizer really saying what I thought he was saying?! What I hoped beyond hope for him to be saying? I wanted to see behind me, but did I dare? Still feeling soiled by my unbelief, if it really was … Messiah! … how could I look on Him?
The 12 Disciples - Andrew (Part 1)
Tears blurred my sight as I ran. Whether they were from the wind or the flood of emotions in my heart, I couldn’t tell and I didn’t care. In a sense, it didn’t matter. I knew how to find my way along this road in the dark almost as well as Simon could navigate our boat in a storm. Often I would end up going the road alone, and I never minded. Especially at night, in the dark, when the peaceful rhythm of the tide kept the perfect timing for a thoughtful step.

What is the Purpose of the Church? (Following Jesus Christ, Part 2)
Scripture tells us that God plans to make disciples through the church. Jesus says in Matt. 16:16, “[I] will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (ESV). The word translated church comes from the Greek word ekklesia which means people called out from the world and to God (Strongs). God’s program to fulfill the Great Commission is to call out people from the world, called disciples, who in turn would make more disciples. This program of God is still on-going.
