April 18th Update

Dear TBC Family & Friends,

Becoming Sidetracked… My dad worked on the railroad for 40 years.  The goal of the railroad was to move commodities like coal or grain or iron ore from the mines and large grain elevators to the power plants or mills or factories.  Once products had been manufactured, trains moved the final products around the country to distribution centers so the goods could be trucked to stores and then to people for use.  Hundreds of thousands of railroad cars, thousands of miles of tracks, switch yards in every large and medium sized city and thousands of workers were necessary to accomplish the goal.  Sometimes a box car filled with goods would get parked on a side track some place and sit there for months.  The box car was out of circulation and the products would spoil, be stolen, or become useless.
A focused, dynamic believer is a powerful force for the cause of Christ. Satan tries his best to get us off the main track of God’s will and become parked on some side track and become useless for the cause of Christ. Life is short, and we do not have time to become derailed or side tracked.  Sometimes it is discouragement or false doctrines or desires for things, money, and material possessions that get us switched onto some siding.

This week in 1Timothy chapter 6 we will be looking at truth that can keep us on the main track for God, doing His will.

Keep reading your Bibles and praying both personally and as a family.  Connect with the body through technology, and be sure to keep giving and witnessing.  A person who keeps up with the basics will be hard for Satan to sidetrack or derail.

Keep on going this week.
