What does it truly mean to follow 1 Peter 2:21 and walk “in Jesus’ steps”?
Set in 1895, this drama tells the story of Rev. Henry Maxwell and his Pledge Group as they seek to never to take any action without first asking, “What would Jesus do?” and then following in His steps. This commitment to following Jesus begins to revolutionize the small town of Raymond - but not everyone in town appreciates the changes.
1 Peter 2:21: “For hereunto were ye called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example that ye should follow in His steps.”
This drama is the only authorized stage adaptation of Charles Sheldon’s best-selling novel, In His Steps. The adaptation is by Philip Grecian.
- In His Steps will be performed by a group of 40 talented young people, ages 12-18.
- Performances are FREE to attend, and seating is NOT assigned.
- Baked goods will be available for sale before and during the intermission of each performance.
- The performances, including intermission, will be about 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
While the drama is appropriate for all ages, it is very intense at points, and parental discretion is advised. The production is not graphic, but several characters do die onstage, and there is some mature content. For more information, please contact Melody Mulder at gro.hcruhctsitpabhturt@ydolem.
