Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

- 1 Thessalonians 5:11

The church works best when all are using their gifts to help build others up.  We encourage our members to be involved in various ministries, working in a spirit of unity.

Small Groups

One of the best ways to get involved at TBC is to join one of our small groups! We have a growing small group ministry, with adults & young people meeting in homes all over central Connecticut. Visit our Small Group ministry page for more information!

Music Ministry

Live music is well loved by members of Truth Baptist Church.  During our weekly services, we are thrilled to have those who can read music play a string, woodwind or brass instrument with our little group of musicians.

If you have experience with an instrument and would like to participate in our orchestra, please contact us!

Children’s Programs

Nursery Workers

We have a thriving nursery, with many little newborns and toddlers!  So more hands in the nursery rotation are always welcome.  Women, as well as teen girls age 13 and older, can volunteer to serve in the nursery during one or all of our weekly services.  Whether you’re volunteering every week, month, once a month, twice a month, or once every other month - we are glad to have you!

Please fill out our nursery volunteer form if you are interested in working in the nursery.

Sunday School/Children’s Church

9:15am-10:15am & 10:30am-11:45am • Sundays

Our Sunday morning children’s programs are one of the most important programs at TBC.  Teaching the next generation to know and fear the Lord is an immense responsibility, and we do not take it lightly!

During our Sunday School and Children’s Church programs, we depend on volunteers to both teach classes and assist with crowd control. Young people and adults ages 16 and older would be most welcome to help with either of these areas! Please contact us if you’re interested in volunteering.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

TBC’s free VBS is held on weekday evenings for one week each summer, typically in July. From fun activities like crafts, outdoor games and Bible lessons, to the daily free ice cream and an entertaining skit, kids love VBS - and so do volunteers! It takes many people to make VBS happen, and we are always eager to take more help.
