Sunday morning Elvis Chidozie will be challenging us with the question, "Who is My Neighbor" looking at the Good Samaritan in Luke 10.  We live in a broken and divided world.  As believers, God desires that we love others.

Elijah is one of the greatest believers in the Bible, but he entered a time of severe depression and discouragement.  He felt life was hopeless.  Last week we looked at some reasons why that happened.  This week we have an opportunity to observe the Ultimate Counselor at work restoring Elijah back to being a powerful servant of God.

Tomorrow morning we are continuing to look at the epic failure of one of God's greatest servants.  Many people in life struggle with depression and discouragement.  You may be one that can identify with Elijah as he comes to the point of despair, not even wanting to live.  We will consider what led to Elijah's failure and consider God's kindness in helping him back to a life of usefulness.

Sunday morning we will be observing communion.  The meditation and songs will be focused on Ps 22:1, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning?”  If you have never memorized this verse, it would be a good time to memorize and meditate on it to be prepared for the Lord's Supper.

Tomorrow is Father's Day.  We are going to take a break from Elijah to look at fathers and fatherhood from the Book of Proverbs.  As a father you may be asking, how do I train up my children?  What does that mean?  How important is it anyway?

On Sunday morning we are going to observe five principles of prayer that enabled Elijah to accomplish supernatural work for God's glory that we can observe also. Sunday evening we will discuss the most important of these principles of prayer that can revolutionize your prayer life.  One of these principles has really helped me to know what to pray for.  Please join by Zoom on Sunday evening.
