May 23rd Update
Dear TBC Family & Friends,
Sunday morning I’ll be preaching from 2 Timothy chapter 1 looking at how God does not want us to be afraid. Instead, he rewards us for being serving, being confident, and being courageous. God is faithful and will remember to reward us when life is done. This truth and several others that I’ll be sharing tomorrow are the motivation for our service, our confidence, and our courage. I hope you can invite a friend to join us at 10:30am!
An excerpt from an article we came across this week had a great reminder for us all:
“We hope this season [of not being able to physically meet] shows us that privatized, consumeristic spirituality is not enough. Not for individuals and not for society. We need more than just “me and Jesus” faith that has little bearing on the world and gives us little incentive to leave the house. We need faith that is rooted in strong, serving, multiplying local church communities – the sort of faith that makes such a difference that everyone notices, and laments, its absence.”
1. The Junior Church start time is now 9:00am on Sunday morning.
2. We will continue to livestream our Sunday morning service and hold children’s classes, life groups, and the Sunday evening service via Zoom. This past week we saw more people come to attend the service in person. While we are not suggesting that you come, we understand that some are excited to come, comfortable with the situation, and will be planning on attending very soon. We are committed to safety, and will have seating that is distanced, doors opened, sanitizing locations, and the discouraging of interactions within 6 feet for any that choose to come. We will have overflow seating available in a separate part of the building if we exceed 50 people. Please DO NOT come if anyone in your household has a fever or any virus symptoms. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask any of our staff.
