June 11th Announcements & Connection Links

Dear TBC Family and Friends,

I hope everyone has enjoyed their week. My kids just finished their first school year here, and we are excited to get the opportunity to hopefully see more of Connecticut! Although I must say, I’ve been staying inside because the humidity seems to be getting worse, which is scary because everyone laughs at me since I apparently have no idea what humidity really is. I guess I’ll find out soon enough!

Tomorrow we will be finishing up our Jonah series. I hope that it has been encouraging and convicting for you all. I know it has been for me! As we end the narrative, we’ll once again put ourselves in the shoes of Jonah and ask ourselves, what would we have done?

If you are able please return Sunday Evening as we wrap up our study on the origin of the Bible. I don’t have that much material left, which is intentional. I hope that tomorrow I can get some questions, so we could have a profitable Q&A time.

Looking forward to worshipping with you all tomorrow!

In Christ,

Pastor John

If someone asked you to explain the gospel, what would you say? What is the good news of the Christian faith? Writing to the Galatians, Paul made it clear how easily we can be tempted to turn toward fraudulent gospels, especially those that teach we can earn God’s love through our works. Though they may have the appearance of truth, they are lifeless and leave us empty in the end.  In this Book of the Bible series, Kyle Idleman dives into the book of Galatians, one that contains some of the clearest explanations of the gospel in the New Testament. Through biblical study and engaging lessons, Kyle shows that true freedom is found in surrender, not self-dependence. Because our gospel is not one based on our works, but faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.  Anyone is invited to join.
