July 23rd Announcements and Connection Links

Dear TBC Family and Friends,

I hope everyone is doing well and staying cool even though it has been extremely hot! I’ve been in heat, but not this kind of heat! Humidity really is a game changer. Praise God for fans and air conditioners :).

Please join us tomorrow for corporate worship as we partake in communion. Prepare your hearts today as we remember the life, death, and resurrection of Christ tomorrow through the taking of the bread and the cup.

Tomorrow we will continue our study in Hebrews, taking a closer look at Jesus’ faithfulness to God. The passage will exhort us to consider Jesus so that we may hold fast to the faith. We continue to see the theme that Jesus is better, therefore he should be the only person we consider and remain faithful to.

Please also return back Sunday evening as Pastor Rowley continues his series on Asa. Not only is the study insightful on the kings of Israel, but Asa’s life has many practical principles that we can apply to our own lives. Come to be encouraged and exhorted in the Scriptures!

Looking forward to worshipping with you all tomorrow.

In Christ,

Pastor John

If someone asked you to explain the gospel, what would you say? What is the good news of the Christian faith? Writing to the Galatians, Paul made it clear how easily we can be tempted to turn toward fraudulent gospels, especially those that teach we can earn God’s love through our works. Though they may have the appearance of truth, they are lifeless and leave us empty in the end.  In this Book of the Bible series, Kyle Idleman dives into the book of Galatians, one that contains some of the clearest explanations of the gospel in the New Testament. Through biblical study and engaging lessons, Kyle shows that true freedom is found in surrender, not self-dependence. Because our gospel is not one based on our works, but faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.  Anyone is invited to join.
