December 5 Update
Dear TBC Family & Friends,
On Sunday morning we are going to view a future event and consider the lessons that we can learn. Our natural question in the face of disaster, trial, suffering, seeming injustice is to ask, “Why Lord?” In the future some of the most godly people will suffer some of the most horrible injustices and it will seem that heaven is silent. The enemy is allowed to prosper and make advances and righteous people suffer. “How long, O Lord?” Then an event takes place in heaven that results lifts the spirits of all heaven because it signifies that God has seen, God does care, God is about to move, and God will right the wrongs. What lessons does God have for us from this future event?
Sunday evening Zoom we will be hearing from a representative from Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. He will be bringing a Bible lesson and giving some information about the college. I encourage you to join in!
I am very grateful for the faith and steadfastness of God’s people during this time.
1. If you are interested in being a part of a Christmas Card Exchange this year, please reply to this email by tomorrow or sign up tomorrow in the lobby. On Monday, Melanie will send out a list of everyone who signed up. Please don’t delay to get your name on the list if you are interested. Cards will be available to be delivered and picked up on tables in the breezeway through the Sunday after Christmas. You can join this exchange even if you don’t normally attend in person. You could stop by some time during the week to drop off and pick up your cards. You do not have to make cards for everyone on the list, but you’re welcome to do that if you would like!
