TBC hosts a men’s softball team in the Independent Baptist Softball League. We play against teams from other churches in Connecticut.
The season will open Sauturday, April 20, at Huntington Avenue Playground in Waterbury. Truth will be playing at noon. The first game will be played at 10 am followed by a short message and opening ceremonies. There will be a fellowship after the noon games. Players are encouraged to bring food to share.
Men and boys (age 16 and up) who regularly attend TBC are encouraged to join the team. If you are interested in playing, please contact Jim Hoover at truthbaptistchurch@sbcglobal.net for more information. Games are usually on Saturdays and most games are followed by a short time of fellowship with the other team and their families. Even if you not able to play, come to a game and enjoy fellowship with other Christian churches.
Practices are Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting).
