Dear TBC Family and Friends,
Thank you for your faithful service and ministry of reaching and training reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ this week! We all use our gifts in different ways all through the week to work towards this mission.
Last week we watched the disciples in the midst of a storm. Jesus used that experience to deepen their faith in Him. Tomorrow we are going to look at a Psalm of David who knew something about facing grave and life threatening troubles and enemies. In Ps 27 we learn how to be prepared for the inevitable opposition we will all face, help in facing the trials and a couple points of reflection after the trial. To prepare you can read Ps 27 and maybe memorize vs 4 or whichever verse speaks most to your heart.
Sunday evening we will be having a family meeting. One aspect of this meeting will be to share a statement that has been worked on and reviewed by the pastors, deacons and staff in an attempt to give some clarification about the events of the past 4 months. if you have a question, you can write it out or text/email it to Pastor Keith. Our goal is the same as Jesus prayed in John 17 for love and unity among God's people. Please pray that this meeting will strengthen our church and enable us to move forward with God's blessing.
Next Sunday morning we will be having Ray Hoover for us. God has been doing some great work in Ethiopia where he is a missionary.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. BAPTISM: Please plan to stay after the morning service to witness our baptism service immediately following the morning service in the gym this Sunday morning, April 21st.
2. TBC FAMILY MEETING: We will be holding a TBC family meeting this Sunday evening, April 21st at 6pm. We encourage all people who consider TBC their home to attend. If you cannot attend in person, please reply to this email or text Melanie for a Zoom link to watch live. Childcare for ages 10 and under will be provided.
3. MEN'S & WOMEN'S MINISTRY & FELLOWSHIP: The men and the women (including teens age 12 and up) will meet separately for a time of encouragement and community next Sunday evening, April 28th, at 6pm. We will have a baked potato fellowship meal following the meetings around 7:15pm. For the fellowship, please bring one or some of the following toppings to share with everyone: a large portion of chili or meat topping, broccoli or other healthy baked potato toppings, your favorite toppings such as bacon, cheese, sour cream, chives, etc, a large dessert, or something else related to baked potatoes. The church will provide the baked potatoes. Please bring enough toppings/dessert for your family plus a few extra people.
4. TEEN FUN NIGHT: Teens are invited to come enjoy a fun-filled evening with friends on Friday, April 26th, from 6-8:30pm at TBC in the gym/pavilion. There will be food, games, and yes, a time of spiritual encouragement. We're hoping to have the fire pit going for some s'mores and songs. This is a particularly great opportunity for your teen to "plant a seed" and invite an "unchurched" friend.
5. MOTHER'S DAY VIDEO: If you would like to submit 1-2 photos of an important mother figure in your life for our annual Mother's Day video, please email your pictures to Isaiah Rodriguez at isaiahrod.tbc@gmail.com as soon as possible before April 30th. We are asking for no more than 2 photos per mother.
6. NEW ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIP CLASS: Jesse and Kim Christophel will be starting a new ABF study called Love In Chaos by Bob Goff on Sunday, April 21st. How should Christians respond to the chaos in our world today? We will discuss what it looks like to follow Jesus and obey his commands. Each session will start with a 10 minute video, followed by discussion, scripture reading, and prayer together. This class meets upstairs in the gym at 9:30am on Sunday mornings.
7. CHILDREN'S MINISTRY MEETING: All Children's Ministry volunteers should mark your calendars for a brief volunteer luncheon and meeting in the Fellowship Hall right after morning service on Sunday, May 5th.
8. VBS REGISTRATION IS OPEN: VBS registration is open! Please visit our website to register, and invite your friends ages 4-12 years. VBS is July 8th - 12th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm at TBC. If you would like to teach or help with VBS, please let Hannah Bush know. We need many hands!
9. CARE TEAM PRAYER CHAIN: If you would like to be receive text messages when people send in urgent prayer requests, please text CARETEAM to 860-289-8976. We are so thankful for the caring team of people who pray for the urgent needs of our church family.

Come discuss how and why we need to evangelize! It's not too late to join this class that Skip Mission is teaching. Anyone is invited to join. This class meets in the classroom across from the church office.
Sunday, 9:15am - Discipleship Training Class
Kevin Tower is teaching a 12-15 week class for those interested in getting training in how to become an effective disciple maker. We encourage all regular attenders to attend this class at some point! This class meets in a classroom down below the auditorium lobby. Anyone is invited to join!
Sunday, 9:15am - Ladies' Bible Study and Prayer
Beth Mission is teaching on the topic of Lament from Psalms. They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.
Sunday, 9:15am – Love In Chaos

Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the gym. Anyone is invited to join at any time.
